*Role:* Healthcare Data Quality Analyst

*Location:* 6 Month Contract

*Length:* Buffalo, NY (OR) NYC

The Healthcare Data Quality Analyst will be integral to a major initiative
to modernize a company's Business Intelligence modernization effort. They
will first work to document business rules around derived and calculated
data from the functional business units, working with the SMEs from each
area. After this is completed, the Analyst will work on mapping out the raw
data, ensuring correct sourcing of the data, and that it ends at the
correct purpose. Strong analytical and verbal skills combined with a deep
understanding of healthcare terminology required.



A successful candidate will live and breathe data. Any managed care, data
profiling experience or data classification schema background preferred.
Any data integration project experience will be beneficial.  Data quality
analysts review data placed into a data warehouse for accuracy. They report
to management on the progress of data quality improvement and help resolve
data quality problems through appropriate process design strategies, as
well as error detection and correction tests and procedures. These
professionals also must be willing to interact with data users and managers.



They must have strong written and verbal communication skills to present
findings and recommendations, be able to work in teams and manage time and
projects. They also should be detail-oriented, have good problem solving
and research skills and understand the importance and benefits of data
quality. They additionally should be able to work independently and possess
strong customer service skills.



Consultants will be required to be onsite in Buffalo, NY or New York City
with the ability to travel to the other city as needed.
