Looking forward to hear from you!!! * * *A* location. Initial contract is for *6 mths* with high likelihood of at least one 6-month extension. They will hire via a Skype/Web Cam interview. The main skills needed are Unix/Linux Administration, Solaris, VMware ESX and preferably vSphere experience with high availability solutions, Veritas clustering and shell scripting. *Need two professional references..* *Primary Job Responsibilities:* Key responsibilities include the identification and resolution of hardware and software technical problems/malfunctions. These responsibilities require 24x7 coverage and response to Solaris/Linux systems alerts during "on-call" periods. In addition, this position will serve as primary escalation point of contact for resolution of server problems/issues. On a daily basis, the role will monitor and respond to systems failures as well as manage scheduled systems processes. Systems analysis will be performed to proactively predict and detect systems errors in order to ensure maximum uptime and service quality. The candidate will work closely with other IT groups in the areas of throughput analysis, problem solving, and infrastructure planning, with the potential to affect the successful execution of business transactions. *Job Requirements:* 1.Experience with highly available solutions/architectures.
