*Role: VM Ware Citrix Systems Engineer*

*Location: Raleigh, NC*

*Required Skills: *

ü  VMware Citrix systems engineer The primary responsibility of this
position is to partner with the existing systems engineering team members
with installing, configuring and managing virtual servers running Windows
and Citrix.

ü  The systems engineer will help ensure that the build lifecycle and
appropriate records are maintained to the ITCS104 and audit standards.

ü  You will also be responsible for ongoing improvement of processes and
applying best practices for the environment.

*Essential Functions: *

•           Install, build and maintain VMware Server environments.

•           Excellent hands on knowledge and experience with Windows Server
OS and Citrix.

•           Experience with Hardware/Data Center (servers, storage,
peripherals, blades) EMC and NetApp Storage systems.

•           Experience and knowledge of Windows based applications,
services, databases, and admin tools

•           Knowledge of networking, routing, TCP/IP, protocols, cabling
infrastructure

•           Defining and enforcing standards.

•           Experience and abilities with monitoring, alerting and
reporting tools (performance, trend, etc)

•           Maintain awareness of new developments for software and server
technologies.

•           Develop and automate processes to expedite and streamline
workloads.

•           Perform general VMware system administration duties.

•           Create templates that will build hundreds of virtual servers to
run line of business applications.

•           Response for advanced troubleshooting of production issues.

•           Strong communication and organizational skills to manage
escalations and act in an availability manager role when releases encounter
challenges.

•           Ability to communicate metrics about VMware systems, and work
tickets including root causes for not meeting services levels and
recommended actions to improve performance.

•           Follow ITIL service management standards by submitting proper
incident, problem, service and change requests through the MAXIMO system in
a compliance environment such as SSAE16.

•           Ability to complete or provide oversight to shift turnover and
weekly status reports including metrics of performance. Ability to
recommend and provide metrics in status or Adhoc reports in response to
breakdowns and stakeholder requests.

•           Ability to participate in a geographically dispersed 24 x 7
support organization including shift work and off-hours support.

•           Participates in weekly team meetings.

•           Ability to cross-train and mentor other team members.

•           Ability to restore service rapidly, using logical
troubleshooting methodologies and tools.
