1.       Transactional replication

2.       Mirroring

3.       Clustering

4.       Always-on technologies

5.       Mortgage terminology a plus (if not any direct experience,
understanding of what is required to understand business)



*General SQL and ETL knowledge*

1.       Query tuning and optimization

2.       Backup and restore planning and implementation

3.       System monitoring and performance metrics including IO related
reporting for VM+SAN environments

4.       Implementation of system with change tracking and change data
capture

5.       Capacity planning and forecasting

6.       Security management and architecture

7.       Definition and implementation of database standards

8.       Reasonable understanding of SQL Server licensing

9.       Advanced T-SQL skills including merge, nested CTE’s, looping
constructs, triggers, stored procedures, and views.

10.   Thorough knowledge of indexing strategies, diagnosing, and
implementation
