Role : Netbackup/Storage Admin

Location : Alpharetta, GA

Duration : Long term

 

 

 

Details for the positions are as follows:

Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities:

•       Expert knowledge and experience in Symantec Netbackup backup Environment

•       Expert knowledge and experience in managing Brocade SAN fabrics and 
Netapp Storage

•       Expert knowledge in at least one of the following storage vendor 
products 
: NetApp storage

•       Experience in performance analysis for storage and SAN environment.

•       Expert in CLI for Netapp. 

•       Knowledge on Data ONTAP. WAFL.

•       Experience to manage Block/NFS level allocation on Netapp.

•       Knowledge on NFS protocol and experience to resolve NFS related issues.

•       Experience on RLM. 

•       Expert knowledge in at least one of the following Backup vendor 
products 
: Symantec Netbackup, IBM TSM

•       Knowledge of Netbackup environment and VTL technologies.

•       Knowledge of implantation and setup of Backup Master server, Media 
Server and Virtual Tape library configuration

•       Knowledge in configuration of NDMP backup

•       Knowledge on IBM Protectier or any other virtual environment

•       Willingness to support 24*7 production support environment on call 
rotation.

•       Highly Experience in troubleshooting backup issues and resolving issue 
real time.

•       Perform root cause analysis for team for production problems.

•       Automate storage, backup administration, monitoring, data gathering 
and reporting tasks using Shell and other scripting languages

•       Knowledge of System Administration and scripting is highly appreciated

•       Knowledge of SRM tool like NetApp SANscreen or Aptare

•       Escalate hardware and software issues to vendors as necessary to 
resolve 
issues in a timely manner

•       Ensure documentation of  end to end storage  and backup environment 
is current

•       Communicate with peers and management regarding storage/backup 
operational 
issues and initiatives

•       Provide instructions and guidance to junior global team members

•       Knowledge of Performance software from Virtual Instruments.

•       Follow change control protocols to implement off-hour  modifications 
to storage, backup appliances and software, coordinating with offshore teams
