Role : Backup Administrator Duration: 15 months Location: WALTHAM, MA Job Responsibilities: Ø Day to Day Management of the Backup Systems running Symantec NetBackup Ø Managing the Backup/ Restores and any troubleshhoting ( Hardware ) or Software for the Backup Environment Ø Will be part of Team that currently has 8 members Top 5-10 responsibilities for this position: Ø Backup administration using Veritas Netbackup 7.x Ø Experience in vStorage API, BMR, Symantec OST, Virtual Tape Library, SSO (Shared Storage Option) Ø Experience with MSDP, NetBackup for VMware Ø Experience in agent backups (Oracle RMAN, NDMP, SQL, Virtual servers etc) Ø Experience with Enterprise class IBM and Quantum Tape Libraries Ø Experience with Encryption technologies ( TKLM ) Software tools/skills needed to perform daily responsibilities: Ø NetBackup/Backup Exec Ø Library and Media Management Ø D2D2T Backups Skills/attributes that are a must have: Ø Backup administration using Veritas Netbackup 7.x Ø Experience in vStorage API, BMR, Symantec OST, Virtual Tape Library, SSO (Shared Storage Option) Ø Experience with MSDP, NetBackup for VMware Ø Experience in agent backups (Oracle RMAN, NDMP, SQL, Virtual servers etc) Ø Experience with Enterprise class IBM and Quantum Tape Libraries Ø Experience with Encryption technologies ( TKLM ) Skills/attributes that are nice to have: Ø TSM/ Data Domain/ ProtectTier Ø SAN/Storage Administration Thanks.
