Mgr will NOT hire off of Skype or phone.* ABOUT THE POSITION Senior Software Engineer –You will work closely with the product management team to define future product requirements and implement these requirements. As a member you will join a group of designers and developers who are experts in the latest software development technologies, including .NET, Web Services, XML, high-availability and distributed systems. Anything our customers need the application to do from data segmentation to mobile creation to back-end analysis - your team will be responsible for making a reality. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Gather and Implement requirements based on design specifications. • Provide maintenance support on existing code. • Develop industry leading application architecture. • Develop features and functions used by thousands of marquee clients in industries such as retail/direct marketing, travel, and enterprise. • Research problems discovered by QA and develop solutions to the problems. The ideal candidate is a versatile developer who can translate design solutions to standards compliant XHTML, CSS and JavaScript, C#, and has an eye for detail that allows them to own the final quality assurance of their solutions. The applicant must demonstrate a strong interest in application development, the development process, and a curiosity and excitement for new web technologies and techniques. In addition, the drive and desire to develop complete application solutions. Take an idea, a design, and a wireframe and convert that into living software. Not only from a UI, but the ability to develop middle-tier software that drives that application and gives it life. If you love solving challenging problems, gravitate towards collaboration, and strive for quality, then this is the job for you REQUIREMENTS: • Understanding of W3C standards and experience in addressing cross-browser and platform compatibility issues. • Expert-level proficiency in XHTML and CSS. Must be able to hand-code standards compliant XHTML and CSS. • Expert-level proficiency in SQLServer and TFS. • Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript. • Expert-level proficiency in C# and .NET languages. • Solid understanding and use of the DOM, JSON, object-oriented JavaScript, and Ajax. • Familiarity with classical programming concepts such as polymorphism, inheritance, and encapsulation. Previous experience with multiple languages also a plus. (C#, Java, Ruby, PHP, C++, etc.) • Experience utilizing the following JavaScript frameworks/libraries (or writing your own frameworks): • jQuery / jQuery UI • Backbone • Node.js • Mustache • Understanding of optimization techniques to reduce page size and load times to enhance user experience (sprites, minification, lazy loading, YSLOW standards, etc.) • Expert-level proficiency in developing against deployed REST APIs.
