Ø Work with teams of software engineers and developers on multiple and complex software development efforts. Ø Work with the QA staff during various phases of testing and test case preparation. Ø Detailed knowledge of and experience with client/server and object oriented software development utilizing Java, XML, Apache Wicket Ø Experience in various phases of the system development life cycle including project planning, analysis and design, coding, and testing Ø Experience with Ant, Accurev Ø Familiarity working in Agile development Ø 8 years software engineering experience Ø 5 years XML/Java/J2EE experience Ø Proficiency in Unix, writing Shell, Perl scripts Position :2 Role :Sr. Oracle Developer Location : Boston MA Interview :Face is a Must Duration :Long term contract. Description: Ø The individual will be working with the Alternatives team on new projects related to risk management and report writing to deliver information delivery solutions and to enhance existing Oracle implementations for the Alternatives business. Ø In addition the responsibilities will include designing and implementation of very efficient PL/SQL functions, stored procedures. Database design and performance tuning experience is a must. The candidate should have demonstrable experience with software development practices. Ø Professional systems design, strong analytical skills and excellent verbal and written skills are necessary. Ø The candidate should be well-versed in PL/SQL and Oracle tools. Ø The candidate should be able to analyze and resolve data issues and also recommend and implement solutions to prevent recurrence. Ø Prior knowledge of financial industry and investment processes is a strong plus. Ø The role requires the ability to work in a fast paced dynamic team oriented environment. Ø Activities include but are not limited to: contributing to design sessions, coding, code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, supporting beta testing, bug fixes and documentation. Keys to the Position Ø Skill Priority Order is Oracle 11G, PL/SQL, Unix and then any other Oracle tools Ø Expert PL/SQL Development on UNIX ( this group also uses Oracle Reports) Ø Candidate should be strong with Analytical Functions Ø Must know Unix well, will be required to write some scripts including Perl Ø Must be able to debug data issues.
