Description:
The VMware Architect will be tasked with developing operational best
practices,
processes and run-books specific to the client environment. Consultant must
have prior experience obtaining & gathering data, conducting interviews,
meetings,
etc. Client is looking for a hands-on architect and advisor that is also able
to mentor the staff, lead the team, define and plan the architecture be the
Technical Virtualization lead
Job Requirements
· 8-10 years of overall IT experience
· Must have 5 years+ architecting and implementing server consolidation
and server virtualization projects.
· Must have 3-5 years Architecting & Implementing large-scale
virtualization/VMWare
environments
· Evaluate, design, advise, implement and integrate products and
controls
into various platforms, network devices and systems.
· Implement standards and best practices, as well as enforcing these
standards
· Prepare technical designs as well as high-level flowcharts and
schematics.
· Create documentation of systems and provide knowledge transfer for
project to support staff.
· VMware Certified Professional Huge Plus (VCD or VCDX) - not mandatory
· Ability to take a leadership role in interfacing with customers,
project managers and field teams to identify business problems and help create
solutions that achieve targeted business results while maximizing services
revenue for Intel
· Ability to engage and influence senior technology management and
IT executives on solutions proposed by us
· Experience in leading diverse technical staff
· General understanding of business environments
· Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the
organization.
· Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective
communicator.
· Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of this
project.
