Job Title: PeopleSoft Financials Developer

Duration: 6+ months 

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL

 

 

The position of PeopleSoft Technical reports directly to the Senior Development 
Manager. PeopleSoft Peopletools technology. The PeopleSoft Technical will be 
responsible for providing leadership in carrying out innovative solutions to 
increase the efficiency, profitability and security of the company's PeopleSoft 
implementation. He or she will provide expert experience and mentoring on 
technical 
problems and directly provide production support and assistance in the 
reporting 
needs related to PeopleSoft. He or she should be well versed with various 
phases 
of PeopleSoft projects such as Implementation, Upgrade and Production Support.

The PeopleSoft Technical  primary responsibilities are analyzing software 
requirements, 
architecting solutions, software development, and performing code reviews. 
He or she should have minimum 5 years of technical experience in PeopleSoft.

 

 

This position will require night-shift hours on a rotating basis to provide 
support to US-based business users. A work from home option can be arranged 
when working night-shift hours.

Essential Job Functions:

·         Work with business users to identify requirements for additional 
functionality in PeopleSoft 

·         Identify gaps between business requirements and the delivered vendor 
application and propose solutions 

·         Design and validate PeopleSoft solutions 

·         Work with remote functional and technical PeopleSoft team members 
to implement solutions 

·         Develop and/or modify PeopleSoft objects using PeopleTools such as 
People Code, Application Engine programs, Pages, Components, Table set-up, 
configuration, and layout, as required 

·         Develop solutions utilizing Integration Tools and Integration Broker 
Transformations 

·         Work with Functional Analysts to develop and modify reports in 
PeopleSoft 
modules using the following PeopleTools: SQL, SQR, Crystal, NVision and 
PS-Query 


·         Work on all phases of a project--Development, Testing, and Production 
Support etc. 

·         Perform unit testing, peer and code reviews 

·         Assist in process compliance 

·         Provide direct production support or assist other team members in 
providing support 

·         Provide regular status updates on assigned tasks. 

·         Attend team meetings 

·         Maintain latest technical skills based on the company's strategies 
and work on any other software development or maintenance related tasks 

·         Upgrade skills to meet the expanding business needs and strategies 


·         Work with the Senior Development Manager to ensure project delivery 
and escalate issues when necessary 

·         Effectively communicate with business users and leaders, functional 
and technical team members and management.

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

·         Minimum 5 years of experience in software development projects in 
the core technology of PeopleSoft; i.e. PeopleCode, PeopleTools, Application 
Engine, Component Interface, Integration Tools, Integration Broker (App 
Messaging), 
etc. 

·         PeopleSoft Technical Projects experience with in-depth knowledge 
of business technology--PeopleSoft Financial modules such as GL, AP, AR, and 
Billing 

·         Experience and functional knowledge with NA Payroll, Base Benefits, 
Core HR, and Time and Labor for HRMS required along with technical expertise 


·         Expertise in creating Technical Specifications as per business 
requirements 


·         Perform migrations between environments 

·         Experience creating or troubleshooting Application Engine programs 
and Peoplecode 

·         Ability to lead a team of PeopleSoft Technical and Functional 
Analysts 


·         Ability to understand and willingness to participate in the software 
development process including but not limited to Requirements Analysis, Design, 
Development, Integration, Documentation, and Quality Assurance 

·         Displays effective analytical and organizational skills 

·         Seeks innovative ways to improve an existing process 

·         Ability to solve complex technical problems and work in a challenging 
environment 

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong 
interpersonal skills 

·         Understanding of object-oriented analysis and design 

·         Understanding and skills in complex database design 

·         Good collaborative team player
