We are looking for an exceptional software engineer with the capability to
design and build practical and engaging mobile applications at the core of
a growing Business Intelligence technology company.
Our client is currently building a new mobile research platform designed to
offer customers an exciting, rewarding, and fun way to share their opinions
and experiences directly from their handheld devices. A successful candidate
will innovate within emerging mobile development frameworks to deliver
cutting-edge
iOS and Android applications to a fast-growing user base. We are a company
built around our mobile technology. This candidate would have a high degree
of autonomy and would be a critical component of our growing team. Their
primary
responsibilities would be to build on our portfolio of early stage and emerging
mobile products that collect data for ingest by our back-end business
intelligence
system.
Our small-team environment is fast-paced, expansive, ever-evolving, and highly
rewarding. The right candidate must be an experienced mobile developer, a
versatile
problem solver, and have a passion for data. The experience will be hands-on,
working collaboratively with experienced software developers. In the end, the
goal is to build products that appeal to a large and growing audience of users,
while delivering data and insights that our customers find impactful to their
real-world, business decision making.
Qualified applicants should include:
· Strong interest in building multi-functional, customer-facing mobile
applications
· Deep technical knowledge of mobile software development (either iOS
or Android) and past experience deploying applications to the iTunes App Store
or Google Play
· Deep experience with web services architecture, REST interfaces,
XML and JSON parsing
· Considerable experience in object-oriented programming (Objective-C,
Python, Java, C# etc.) within a collaborative team environment
· Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience
Preferred qualifications include:
· Demonstrated experience with user-facing, graphically oriented UI
frameworks (Android, iOS, Sencha Touch and JQuery Mobile), application design,
and reactive touch-based UIs
* Development experience with cross-platform mobile development
tools/frameworks
(e.g. MoSync, Xamarin, RhoMobile, Appcelerator)
· Skilled in web frameworks/languages including Django, CSS,
JavaScript,
and HTML5
* Experience with location services and background processing APIs in iOS
and/or
Android
