Associate’s Degree or higher. Proof of education is to be submitted with all responses. *JOB DESCRIPTION:* *Project Name: FingerPrint Information System (FIPS)* 1. It has become apparent that the Fingerprint Information System for the re-write of the system into .net and migration/conversion of the SQL database into Oracle is in need of a highly accomplished .net programmer in order to shepherd the technical development. This request is for a position that supports the core OCFS programs listed below. In documents submitted to DOB, all programs have been designated as being high priority to the core OCFS mission: • Title IV-E Foster Care; • ASFA Compliance Fingerprinting; • Title IV-E Adoption; • Child Care Quality Improvements Federal 2. CHRU (Criminal History Review Unit) currently uses an antiquated system called FIPS. This system is cumbersome, hard to maintain, does not meet current OCFS-IT standards and is not expandable to meet current needs. This system is being replaced by a new Web Based system called FIPS.Net. The Functional and detailed requirements for the rewrite of the FIPS.Net application have been completed and the development work is underway. Specialist will be working closely on the devolvement team to ensure that all requirements are meet and that testing plans are fully developed and implemented. After deployment of FIPS.Net this resource will be working with the users to ensure a smooth transition from the old to the new systems. 3. In addition, FIPS.Net, CHRS and the Fingerprint processing application, the team must maintain and enhance its interface with Child Care Facility System (CCFS) the Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) and the Statewide fingerprint scanning vendor. The additional enhancements will automate most of the transactions that are currently manually processed reducing processing and staffing time in CHRU. Work in coordination with a team of developers to re-write the current VB6 system into VB.Net 4.0. 4. Work with Business Analyst on analysis and logical design. 5. Perform unit testing and correct all identified bugs. 6. Perform complex VB.Net coding. 7. Assist with responding to Finger Printing data requests. 8. The individual in this position will work under the direction of a Technical Lead, Project Manager/Software Architect. 9. Perform writing of complex stored procedures/triggers in an Oracle database utilizing PL/SQL.
