Please find the below requirement. Position: Business analyst Duration:6+ months Location: Houston, TX 85% BA and 15% PM. Financial Services industry experience is highly preferred Deliver business analyst and project management proficiencies to technology projects that our client has considered important to the success of achieving its business goals. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management and Business Analysis, with the ability to work effectively in a global organization. Business Analyst responsibilities include analyzing business needs for efficient and cost-effective software systems and/or business processes and to facilitate the design, testing and implementation of systems in accordance with company methodology. Project management responsibilities include providing day to day leadership, management and coordination of all activities pertaining to project planning and estimating, resource allocation, software development, project status reporting, problem resolution and collaboration with key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities / Duties: • Gather and analyze information on existing business processes in order to make recommendations that seek to improve business systems and processes. • Provide business analysis during all phases of a project. • Analyze and document requirements for enhancements to systems and / or business processes.May involve investigation of third party vendors or systems. • Clearly document solutions and recommendations to business problems. • Review requirements and designs with relevant stakeholders to obtain agreement and sign off of proposals. • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. • Direct and manage project development from beginning to end. • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel. • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. • Track project milestones and deliverables. • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. Work Experience / Knowledge: • Minimum 7 years experience in Information Technology industry, 5 years experience in a business analyst/project management role. • Analytical and project management skills required, including an understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. • Experience of the whole project life cycle, able to operate in the initial conceptual design stage, in the depths of system testing, and at each stage in between. • Experience working in the financial services industry providing custom application solutions to meet specific industry business needs. • Preferably knowledge of, and experience in, Cash Management and Money Market applications and processes. Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required: • Proficiency in project management discipline and software tools required to execute the responsibilities of this position.Exceptional ability to analyze requirements/problems and to propose innovative but workable solutions. • Good organization and planning skills – capable of managing own workload. • Ability to prioritize work and operate under tight deadlines. • Possess a strong attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem solving skills. • Ability to collaborate effectively with staff at all levels of the organization. • Able to work under pressure and multi-task while remaining both professional and courteous. • Strongly motivated and flexible, able to work independently; recognizes next steps with little to no coaching. • Team player. • Excellent verbal and written skills. Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems (required) • PMP certification (preferred) Specific Technical Skills Required: Microsoft Project Experienced in the use of the MS Office tool suite – particularly MS Project.
