*Position 1) Oracle Weblogic Administrator* *Jersey City, NJ*
*6 months+* In this position you will be installing, configuring and maintaining Oracle WebLogic . You will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining and supporting the servers running Windows Server, SUN, and Linux operating systems that host Oracle WebLogic. You will be responsible for designing and implementing disaster recovery for Oracle WebLogic. *Weblogic Skills & responsibilities* • Installation, maintenance and configuration of Weblogic Application servers on SUN, Linux and Windows. • Experience on Oracle 10g and 12c performance Tuning, Oracle 10g and 12c Apps Deployment, Weblogic server administration. • Good exposure on High Availability environment, Clustering, DR setup for Weblogic Server. • Troubleshooting and Support to Application teams for performance and deployment issues. • Installation & Configuration of Oracle Weblogic Servers. • Weblogic integration with Active Directory • JDBC, JMS • Troubleshooting Oracle systems and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and performance tuning • Performing operating systems upgrades and applying patches to operating systems • Investigating user problems, identifying their causes, determining possible solutions, testing and implementing solutions • Possible evening and weekend support is required as necessary to respond to systems needs • May lead or guide the work of other department staff members, providing on-the-job support and technical training *Position 2) UNIX Administrator* *Jersey City, NJ* *6 months+* *Main Responsibilities:* Primary responsibilities of this role would include owning, tracking and resolving Unix and Weblogic (SUN / Linux / HPUX) related incidents and requests. You will support system backups, maintenance, capacity planning, high availability and researching new technology, monitoring operational jobs on a daily basis to ensure service related issues are identified and resolved within established SLAs. You will be involved in the planning, design, implementation and maintenance of future systems and projects which may include BI solutions, disaster recovery solutions, migrations, clustering, etc. You must be service-oriented and willing to take ownership of issues and comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Good communication, to both technical and non-technical parties, will be an integral part of the responsibilities. Provides UNIX expertise to projects, which entails building servers to corporate standards, customizing the server to meet application needs, and troubleshoots any design shortfalls to product working solutions. This in many cases will include advanced design and problem solving as new technologies are introduced and integrated into the environment. Must be able to promote solutions conform to existing standards, as well as update and adapt current standards to changing technology. *Responsibilities: * • Works with Infrastructure and Development Teams to determine technical and project requirements • Install and maintain physical and virtual servers • Plans and Implements required changes to systems • Determines standards for new technologies to be operationalized into 24/7 support • Provides in-depth technical knowledge in areas related to the operating system and related auxiliary features • Provide technical leadership for, and participate in major systems' projects • Evaluate processes and procedures for opportunities of improvement • Document and comply with operationally defined governance and controls • Track and prioritize activities for maximum operational efficiency • Continuously work to improve the performance of the team’s key metrics • Communicate via written and verbal methods to manager level and above • Diagnose server related performance issues, and perform root-cause analysis • Liaison with project, partner, vendor, and other production support teams for coordination of efforts • Perform general system configuration, backups, maintenance, and optimization of server and network infrastructure • Be result oriented with tasks, completed with high sense of urgency and quality • Assists in other duties as needed and directed *Experience:* • Red Hat Linux, Solaris, HPUX • Oracle Weblogic • HP Bladecenter (Virtual Connect, ILO configs, Itanium and x86 blades) • Cisco UCS blades • Experience with enterprise storage systems and related technology - EMC -SRDF, Powerpath, vMAX, vNX, DataDomain • Experience working in a high pressure operational environment running business/mission critical applications. • Experience with monitoring tools and their implementation (HPOV) • Unix Shell, Python (for weblogic scripting), Perl • Tidal (central CRON scheduler) • ESX / VMware (ESX,VCCOPS,Vcommander) • Centrify (Active Directory for UNIX) • Experience in automating routine processes • Experience in custom software package creation • Understanding of industry best practices for patching and updating servers in a Data Center environment • Significant Experience in automating processes and procedures in a large environment • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks on a tight schedule while providing first rate operational support • Ability to quickly assimilate knowledge and implement new technologies • Familiarity with high availability technologies. For example, Red Hat Enterprise Linux Cluster, Weblogic clustering, Oracle RAC • Experience with Enterprise backup solutions (Symantic Netbackup) *Professional Requirements:* • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, business administration, software engineering or related field preferred • Redhat certification required.
