The candidate will be a hands-on technical leader and must be able to provide comprehensive enterprise-level Business Intelligence QA/Test solutions and support to development teams and stakeholders. This individual will interface directly with our client as the leader of an enterprise Test/QA test team in an aggressive, fast-paced, and challenging work environment. The Business Intelligence QA/Test Lead will be expected to identify appropriate opportunities for QA/Test automation of BI solutions and lead implementation of associated test/QA frameworks and processes. In addition, this candidate will lead efforts for the establishment/development of long-term improvement of testing processes and tools, as well as reviewing and improving requirements traceability to ensure appropriate test coverage. - ·Work with project team in requirements gathering and analysis - ·Prepare effort estimates based on the requirements - ·Prepare test plan and test strategy - ·Work with Business Analysts, Developers, ETL and Data warehouse engineers to validate ETL scripts - ·Create stored procedures and queries to automate testing - ·Responsible for writing, executing and debugging SQL queries to perform data completeness, correctness, data transformation and data quality testing - ·Capture, analyze QA metrics identified for the program· - Ensure content and structure of all testing documents / artifacts are documented and maintained - ·Execute test cases / scripts. Log and track defects to closure - ·Review test conditions, test cases and test scripts - ·Organize status meetings and send status reports - ·Assign task to testing resources and ensure that all of them have sufficient work in the project - 7+ experience in software testing - Minimum 3 years’ experience in data warehouse environment - Strong hands-on SQL coding experience - Experience testing data for data marts, data warehouses, and data integration solutions - Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica is a plus - Experience with data modeling and BI tools is a plus - Experience in test automation is a plus - Understanding of process scheduling (i.e. cron jobs) - Ability to travel up to 10% *BI QA Analyst:* We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Quality Assurance Analyst to join our growing Business Intelligence Quality Assurance practice.
