Title: Information Security Analyst Location: Washington D.C. Duration: 4 Months Contract (could extend) *Rate: $55/hr C2C* *Interview Process:* Phone followed by in person (no skype) *Background Check:* Credit Check / Must be able to obtain Public Trust Clearance NOTE : Only US Citizen - LOCALS *JOB DESCRIPTION**:* This family designs, develops or recommends integrated security system and physical control solutions that will ensure proprietary/confidential data and systems are protected. Provides technical engineering services for the support of integrated security systems and solutions to manage information-related risks. Participates with the client in the strategic design process to translate security and business requirements into technical designs. Configures and validates secure systems and physical controls, and tests security products and systems to detect security weakness. *TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:* Bachelor's degree in related field and 10+ years related experience. *Information Security Analyst* Must be familiar with *Splunk* and *ArcSight* Security Information Managers. Experience with managing and maintaining MacAfee DLP and* MacAfee Web Gateway* products a BIG plus. *Responsibilities Required* • Provide support in the detection, response, mitigation and reporting of cyber threats and attacks using COTS products such as SEIM, IDS and IPS systems. • Monitor public as well as subscribed vulnerability and threat services to understand current risk, recommend appropriate response and mitigation/countermeasure strategies. • Produce detailed incident reports and technical briefs. • Provide analysis for correlated information sources such as *ArcSight *and *Splunk* • Analyze firewall log data using manual and automated means to look for potential threats or system compromise • Assist educating staff on cyber threats and other detected activity • Liaison with other cyber threat analysis entities, such as *US-CERT and FS-ISAC* • Additional duties may include providing intrusion support investigations in the form of computer evidence seizure, computer forensic analysis, data recovery, and network assessments. • Meet and maintain customer required Information Assurance training compliance.
