Duration: 8+ months with possible extension* *Local Candidates only* *Responsibilities* - Understand the project requirements and project goals and using that understanding to produce deliverables; - Build code in SQL environment; - Assist with code testing; - Work with Business Analyst to create and/or update project, technical, and training materials as needed; - Attend meetings between project stakeholder groups, vendors, and Northwest Regional Data Center representatives; - Actively participate in meetings or other project activities to produce project deliverables; - Communicate accomplishments to BA to produce weekly status reports that outlines accomplishments and planned activities for the following week; - Understand the project requirements and project goals and using that understanding to produce project deliverables; - Communicate project progress and information to key stakeholders; - Assist in the preparation of information for program leadership team, executive steering committee, and PMO as appropriate; - Ensure technical direction and standards for infrastructure and software applications are being followed; - Understand strategic project direction and tactical goals, and effectively participating in the development and implementation of business solutions; - Assist both internal and external resources to achieve business solutions within project guidelines; - Identify and eliminating obstacles to solution plans, business goals or implementation; - Assist in the development and implementation of contingency plans; - Participate in conference calls with State and Federal stakeholders, as necessary; - Research and maintaining knowledge in emerging technologies and possible application to the project / program. *Requirements:* - Experience developing web applications (7+ years); - Experience producing technical documentation related to requirements, specifications, traceability matrices, designs, or testing (7+ years); - Experience testing custom applications, reports, large data sets, or dashboards (7+ years); - Experience in MS SQL Server (5+ years); - Experience in MS SQL Server Integration Services (3+ years); - Experience in MS SQL Server Reporting Services (2+ years); - Experience in Web Services (2+ years); - Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint; - Experience with large-scale implementation projects with the following characteristics: - Very large and high-profile; - Multiple technologies and functions; - Staff resources across multiple initiatives/projects; - Multi-million dollar budget; - Close coordination / interaction with other project managers; - Collaboration with multiple stakeholder groups with diverse and competing needs and expectations. - Experience in Microsoft SQL Server (preferred); - Experience developing interactive educational software (preferred); - Experience working with software and hardware vendors (preferred); - Experience working in state government (preferred); - Experience working with Data Centers (preferred); - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems.
