In considering candidates, time is of the essence, so please respond ASAP. *Title : System/Network Admin. * *Location : ** Concord, CA* *Employment Type : Contract* *Duration : 12 Month(s).* *****Need H1 & Photo ID copy. *Job Description:* • provides subject matter expertise in the areas of: • Network Administration and Security; • Microsoft Windows systems administration; • VMware System Administration; Infrastructure installation; Safe implementation procedures as they directly relate to Chevron's Manufacturing IT Test and Support Center (TASC). Responsible for effective provisioning, installation and configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the designated infrastructure. Ensures that network hardware, system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff and partners. Accountable for the following systems in the TASC system • Linux and Windows systems that support Chevron infrastructure and security • Linux, Windows and Application systems that support Asset Management; • Virtualization of applications using VSphere and VMware ESXi. Responsibilities on these systems include Network Engineering and provisioning, System Admin Engineering and provisioning, operations and support, maintenance and research and development to ensure continual innovation. *Experience: * 4+ years Combined IT Experience with System Administration and Network Administration including System Engineering. Preferred Skills: Required Qualifications: • Familiarity with System Risk Assessment • Experience with Network Administration • Experience with CISCO switches and firewalls • Proficient with VMware ESXi and VSphere/VMotion • Proficient with MS SQL and DB Administration • Experience with Server2008 R2 AD environments • Experience in migrating MS Server 2003 and Server 2008 R2 environments to a VMware virtual machine environment • Experience with installation of initial build and rebuild of existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements. • Chevron infrastructure applications or Asset Management applications. • Experience with research and recommend innovative and automated approaches for system administration tasks Additional Comments: Full time I look forward to working with you.
