Senior Business Analyst Quantity: 2 Location: Columbus, OH Duration: 1 year Interview: In Person Only Rate target: $45/ per hour Candidates must be available for in-person/face to face interviewing for this position. The Business Analyst is responsible for the set of tasks and techniques used to work as a liaison among stakeholders in order to understand the structure, policies, and operations of an organization. Interviews are IN PERSON ONLY, NO EXCEPTIONS. Resumes will be due to the manager on Monday April 6th. Interviews will be held on the 8th and 9th of April This is a short term assignment- 470 hours each BA thru June 30th, 2015. Because of the projected release date of the RFP or RFQ, the work must be completed by 6/30 and we would request no time off during that time for vacations. The Department of Education is seeking TWO Business Analysts for a short term assignment to assist them with an RFP or RFQ development for a State Learning Management System (LMS). One BA would take inventory of the training content the Agency already has and with who, how much is the cost, how funded, and the format it is in. This person would talk to many agency employees to compile this inventory. This inventory would eventually end up in the final project product. One BA would work with the sponsor and team to define requirements for this Learning Management System. Both BA resources would document and prepare the RFQ or RFP for the final project product. Outline : The LMS will provide a centralized location for Ohio educators to access professional learning opportunities to improve/enhance their teaching of Ohio’s New Learning Standards and a location for students to receive personalized learning through courses they otherwise might not have access to (i.e., Advance Placement and World Language courses). According to ORC 3301.079, the department shall provide technical assistance to any district, community school, or STEM school in implementing the state standards and model curriculum. The LMS will be used to more effectively provide the assistance needed by the local school districts. In addition to the Center for Curriculum, the LMS could potentially be used by any area of the agency and/or other agencies that provides virtual training to teachers and/or students. This system would be available 24/7 for: • teachers/users to access PD and learning, • students to access learning, • course creators to develop learning activities, • and the ODE departments to monitor and develop learning. The Business Analyst is responsible for the set of tasks and techniques used to work as a liaison among stakeholders in order to understand the structure, policies, and operations of an organization, and to recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. Years of Relevant Experience: 7 plus years Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent and IIBA-certified Business Analyst.
