They must be open to re-location and must possess excellent communication skills. *Position: SQL DBA* *Location: Glendale, WI* *Client: Wheaton Franciscan* *Contract: 6 month CTH* *Rate: $50/hr maximum* Mainly Production Support, not a lot of new development Some *SSIS* work On Call every 6 weeks *Details:* Analyze requests for new database functionality and recommend solutions. Maintain currency in knowledge of database design, engineering and support. Plan future development efforts and support needs, develop database technology oriented plans. Analyze, design, and write specifications, code, test, install, and support locally written technical and database functionality. Perform monitoring, tuning, and capacity analysis of the production and test databases. Participate in design and provide input into design of database high availability and disaster recovery strategies Troubleshoot problems of a technical nature in a 7x24 environment. Carry a pager and participate in an on-call rotation. Analyze impact of new releases of vendor environmental and database software. Work with vendors on installation and support of database solutions. Manage several projects / activities at the same time. Act as a resource in application project efforts. Provide documentation and training for Data Processing Operations and other internal support personnel.
