*Job Description below:*



*General Accountability:*



Lead/manage and support, where needed, medium to large size structured
projects as required ensuring that projects are delivered on time and
within budget and quality targets.



*Responsibilities:*



·         Work with various stakeholders such as outside business users,
IT, audit and compliance (the Stakeholders) in order to define and manage
the scope, strategy, requirements and implementation of projects that vary
in size and length.

·         Develop cost-benefit analyses for project initiatives and provide
business cases to Business Owners within Investments including the
appropriate management and above within and outside of Investments in order
to obtain approval to move forward with inter-departmental projects.

·         Develop and deliver budgets to appropriate stakeholders. Ensure
that assigned projects are completed within budgets and schedules while
meeting client business objectives.

·         Identify, analyze, mitigate, document, and control project risks.
These are usually handled by understanding the business, asking relevant
questions to the proper people, and documenting the results clearly and in
simple language.

·         Provide effective and regular communication within the
Derivatives Project Team, stakeholders, sponsors and management internally
to GDS and sometimes with external management in other areas of
investments.

·         Manage client and team expectations and relationships in order to
facilitate an efficient project completion process.

·         Identify resource needs for the projects and establish roles,
expectations, and goals with Project Team members.

·         Provide or obtain knowledge needed to complete projects and
communicate to developers, business analysts or management when needed.

·         Participate in negotiation of contract terms and conditions and
ensure compliance with contract terms for project consultants and vendors.

·         Conduct Post-Implementation-Reviews of projects in order to
understand what was performed well and what was not performed well in order
to gain efficiency in future projects. Also during Post Implementation,
reviews the original goal of the project is reviewed in order to determine
if the benefit was realized.

·         Stay current to market and industry trends through training,
self-study, trade contact, trade and industry conferences.



*Knowledge/Skills/Competencies/Education:*



·         Sound knowledge of project management methodologies. (Microsoft
Project), presentation skills, and the ability to influence.

·         Significant knowledge and exposure to Derivative Products and
Investments. Background from buy and/or sell side.

·         Extensive Derivative Systems Knowledge such as Calypso, OpenLink,
Summit, etc…

·         Good organization, communication and problem solving skills.

·         Ability to prepare schedules and status reports, delegate
effec­tively, develop staff, manage a project budget and deliver timely
results.

·         Ability to be flexible and adaptable when dealing with change.

·         Thorough understanding and practical application of analytical
tools & methodologies, design concepts, tools and techniques, testing
tech­niques and training methodologies.

·         4-6 yrs project management, business analysis, development and/or
consulting experience

·         Significant investments knowledge. + 4 years Industry experience.
MBA or progress towards preferred
