*Please find the below requirement.* *Position: Sr.SQL DBA (Face to Face)* *Location: Westport Connecticut.* *Duration:6+ Month contract ( will extend)* Candidates must have excellent communications and a strong financial background Operations DBA (2 positions) Responsibilities of the role: • Day-to-day management of the centralized MSSQL Server platform • Working with highly talented application development and support teams to resolve database service requests and incidents within agreed upon SLAs • Being the first line SME escalation point for database issues • Ensuring health of database platforms by reviewing and fixing issues with database backups, maintenance, monitoring and performance and other common faults • Assisting with database migrations and service improvement efforts Position Requirements: • 5+ years experience as an MS SQL Server Database Administrator in a mission critical SQL 2008/2012 Shared Platform environment ( 2014 is a plus ) • Management of large transactional database systems (multiples of hundreds of GBs in size) • Knowledge of High Availability and recoverability of databases in 24/7 environment by using clustering, replication, mirroring, log shipping, backup and restore to meet RTO/RPO objectives (always-on is a plus ) • Strong command of performance tuning and proven experience in troubleshooting application performance problems (Indexing, Optimizer, server configuration, Profiler, DMV etc) including TSQL programming and debugging skills • Capability to understand and work in an environment with prime focus on automation and security • Superior communication and analytical thinking skills Migrations DBA (2 Positions) Responsibilities of the role: • Working with application development, support and infrastructure teams to plan, analyze, execute and troubleshoot database migrations. • Being the first line SME escalation point for database issues for the migration project • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the migration process. • Assisting with Day-to-day management of the centralized MSSQL Server platform Position Requirements: • Has 8+ years of MSSQL Server administration experience including in a mission critical SQL 2008/2012 Shared Platform environment (2014 experience is a plus ) • Knowledge of principles and practices in SQL Server Database legacy and new technology. • Extensive hands-on experience with MSSQL Server upgrades/migrations and VMWare environments (2012/2014 experience is a plus ) • Can develop and troubleshoot PowerShell and T-SQL scripts • Superior communication and analytical thinking skills • Has ability to work independently and achieve milestones • Enjoys collaboratively interfacing with tech leads, developers and DBAs of high caliber to solve problems *Thanks & Regards,* Venu Boddupally *Active **Soft **Inc.* *|| *Accelerate Your Success || Phone: 404-496-4368 * 113 v...@activesoftinc.com www.activesoftinc.com <http://www.google.com/url?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.activesoftinc.com%2F&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNHcG41H--kjGyUwgLo_c8WgNoev2A> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Citrix and Sap problems" group.
