3rd parties are fine, but must have strong backgrounds.   Retail/Apparel is
a huge plus
Client has no Automated tools and is looking for the candidate to establish
an Automated process and help select a  tool.  They are leaning toward
Selenium.
They will be performing Manual testing on a daily basis, so a good mix of
automated and manual is required.

>From the client:
All of the submissions were excellent QA testers with Selenium.  Client
needs someone to basically “architect” or “engineer” their automated
environment from scratch.
This person will need to have demonstrable experience implementing and
developing the QA process and migrating the environment from a manual to an
automated testing environment.
He’s looking for 10+ years overall

I need new paper on this one,  I’ve sent everyone thus far, but no one
really had the “from scratch” implementation experience.

 10+ years of IT experience
• Strong analytical, creative problem solving skills
• Strong experience in testing Web applications in Windows environment
• Strong experience in integration testing between applications
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal communication
skills
• Strong experience in Functional & Regression software testing
• String experience in web application test automation tool
• Experience in SQL query
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency, thoroughness and quality toward assigned
tasks and goals
• Works effectively in a team environment, ability to work under pressure
and multi-task without losing sight of deadlines
• Experience with implementing packaged software in a best-of-breed
environment
• Experience in training users
• Background in IT, including knowledge of database fundamentals, software
application development practices and process methodology
• Experience in garment sourcing & purchase orders is a big plus
• Apparel industry experience is a big plus
• Experience in an AS400 environment is a plus
• Experience with PDM & PLM applications is a plus

• Define & develop robust test plans, execute testing, document results,
and resolve issues
• Identify test case and data requirements across a complex architecture of
highly integrated systems and business processes.
• Understand system dependency and provide a comprehensive testing strategy
to make the testing process effective & efficient
• Perform functional and regression testing
• Design and develop automation testing scripts & processes
• Monitor & track sourcing applications’ interfaces in development, testing
and production environments
• Work with end users to perform acceptance testing
• Work effectively in a cross-team environment
• Adapt to a dynamic business environment, proactively seeking ways to
improve IT value to the organization
• Work well in a global, multi-channel, multi-brand business environment,
being able to communicate effectively with business associates across
different cultures, time zones and languages
• Keep up with the current industry software testing strategies, trends,
and best practices
• Continuously look for ways to improve the Global Sourcing Team’s testing
processes
• Work with users in analyzing and resolving production issues in a timely
manner
• Communicate clearly and effectively in both oral and written form to IT
team as well as business users.




Although this position will be located in the New Jersey office, occasional
travel to our New York City offices will be required.
 In addition, there may be occasional requirements to participate in
teleconferences with overseas offices during off hours and to support
software promotions during evenings and/or weekends.
