LexisNexis has a team of performance engineers that are all strong in gathering functional requirements but not strong enough in planning, executing and analysis. *This team has an onshore/offshore model and the projects are 1) Testing of web services; and 2) testing of web applications. They use Load runner and XML/SOAP UI. There will be a lot of interaction with the business side and offshore testers. They are looking for someone real strong They are looking for someone with good technical skills but that can also do well with project work and leading projects which is something they need. Also, looking for high level experience, working with the business on requirements, writing test strategies, etc* *Duration: 18 months* *Looking for good communication and a Sr. person that has good client interfacing skills, serve as middleman between offshore and onshore testers, but technical too.* *JOB DESCRIPTION* As a Sr Performance Engineer, you will be part of a world class team ensuring the performance, capacity, and reliability of our applications and infrastructure serving a worldwide client base. You will work in a fast paced and highly technical collaborative team environment developing innovative solutions for capacity and performance testing complex multi-tiered applications. As a Sr Performance Engineer your key roles and responsibilities include: · Being responsible for the development of test strategies for projects that may span multiple products, technologies and test disciplines. · Working closely with LexisNexis and vendor resources to ensure test cases and acceptance criteria adhere to requirements and are accurately validated during the certification process. · Providing guidance and oversight for improvements to software measurement, metrics and analytical techniques. Key accountabilities are documented through performance objectives and may include: · Work collaboratively with the business, architects, and developers to define non-functional requirements (NFRs), identify gaps, assess capability, and document risks. · Develop performance and capacity models. · Develop project estimates as part of the concept and project planning process. · Define key metrics and instrumentation for measuring and monitoring performance and capacity. · Identify trends through the use of metrics to forecast quality and release readiness. · Design and implement performance and capacity testing solutions using a variety of third party and custom tools in a distributed highly available environment · Troubleshoot complex configuration, infrastructure, networking, and application problems that could impact the performance or capacity of our system. · Provide release performance assessments and proactively communicate risks and dependencies which may impact the reliability, performance and/or availability of the product. Upon acceptance of this role, the selected internal candidate will be required to sign an updated Non-Competition Agreement or Non-Solicitation and Non-Disclosure Agreement as a condition of continued employment.
