Our client is currently in the process of building a reporting solution for the corporation’s various reporting areas using the SAP Business Objects business intelligence tools. One such reporting area is for related applications. Reporting will be from the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and Customer Service related applications mainly using the Business Objects Web Intelligence reporting tool. This reporting solution will be replacing IBM Cognos reporting tools. CSS reporting is one of the largest areas from the EDW which consists of over 317 operational reports and several adhoc reporting areas. Included in the scope of work are the following CSS reporting areas: o Customer Billing o Customer Collections o Field Support o Finance o Metering o Payment Support o Business Services o Automated Clearing House o Customer Contact History o Deposits o GTX o Approximately 11 universes will need to be developed to support report development. *Responsibilities* · The Developer will report to the Enterprise Business Intelligence (EBI) Supervisor and work with the Enterprise Business Intelligence team. Perform duties as assigned by the Enterprise Business Intelligence Supervisor · Perform assigned work as defined in this individual scope of services · Maintain project timeliness and budgets · The hours per week will be 40 hours subject to change, based on Firms’ staff availability, with an estimated total of 1,200 hours for 6 months · Following and enforcing company policies · SAP Business Objects Web Intelligence Development · The Developer will assist the Enterprise Business Intelligence (EBI) group in building a Business Objects 4.0 Web Intelligence (Webi) solution for the Customer Service reporting area and will be working with the business closely to ensure that reporting needs are met. It is highly desirable that the developer has an understanding of reporting from call center, customer billing, and meter reading activities in a utility environment. It is preferred that the Developer has experience with Cognos reporting tools. · Working with the Information Design Tool (IDT) to create universes · Creating reports using the Webi tool · Communicating with business users to gather report requirements · Performing and documenting unit testing and peer reviews · Coordinate and prepare rollout plans with the business · Preparing tutorials and other documents to assist the end users with Business Objects reports · Assisting in query and report performance issues · Preparing reporting folders and defining security for the reporting areas · Coordinating user acceptance testing with the business · Preparing proper technical and project documents · Assist EBI team with promotion management · Assist EBI team and report developers with scheduling and distribution of reports *Qualifications * · Candidate must have at least 2-3 years of experience using Business Objects Web Intelligence (Webi). Describe and list the number of years of the candidate’s work experience developing reports using Webi. · Candidate must have at least 2-3 years of experience using the Business Objects Information Design Tool (IDT).
