*Windows System Engineer* *Location: Menlo Park, CA* *Duration: 6-12 months contract with possibility of extension (40hr/week).* *Responsibilities:* • Inventory, Document and create Installation/removal runbooks for windows based services • Create automated install recipes and implement integrity checks for services (using Chef, Selenium equivalent) • Create working system level backups, with a two hour recovery window, for the following: o AD Domain Services o AD Certificate Services o Exchange o Citrix o Windows services (e.g. IIS/Print Services/Terminal Services/Licensing Services/etc) • Verify and validate Windows based systems and services according to @ created Runbooks o Restoring applications/systems/services from backups • Create health monitors for Windows based services o Leveraging monitoring tools such as, but not limited to: Nagios, SCOM *Requirements:* • 3+ years within a large enterprise sized heterogeneous environment • 5+ years’ experience in managing complex windows environments with AD/Exchange • 3+ years’ experience in automation (WSH/Powershell/Chef, Choclatey, python) • 5+ years’ experience in windows systems administration in VmWare or equivalent environments • Excellent DR/BCP fundamentals, with example content • Excellent troubleshooting skills • Strong fundamentals in TCP/IP networking, PKI/Certificate management in windows environment • Understanding of firewalls and network security • Experience working in heterogeneous environments, familiarity with Linux/MacOSx use/administration • Strong experience in Windows, Power shell and exchange is a must -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Citrix and Sap problems" group.
