This role offers a great opportunity to work on a variety of highly visible projects within SAP environments as well as the opportunity to work across multiple ITS organizations with good exposure and many technical challenges. In this role, you will be responsible for and must have knowledge of: · Monitoring of SAP systems and Databases · Knowledge of SAP component systems like CRM/GTS/SRM/PI/GRC/CHARM/SolMan · SAP Database table space administration, resize, reorganization & Implementation of Database Patches · SAP Database statistics / reorganization (table, DB, views, index) · SAP System and Database parameter changes. · SAP Transport Management · Implementing SAP OSS notes, kernel patches, support packages, add-ons and SAP software component upgrades · Manages the installation of new SAP systems and instances · SAP Configuration of new printers · SAP System builds and system refresh · Scheduling new application jobs · Support SAP print and label output · Support SAP Web/Internet services · Support SAP Production change windows (Saturday 12-4PM 8 times per year) · Work collaboratively in a run/maintain and project environment and across organizational boundaries · On-call rotation to cover 24X7 test and production support · Responding and resolving incidents that may arise in the production and non-production SAP environments · Resolving incidents that may arise due to system generated alerts · Ability to support SAP in a large client server and mainframe environment · Strong networking skills *Minimum requirements * • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years “domain” experience as SAP Basis Administrator in a medium-to-large sized environment *Preferred qualifications * • SAP Oracle 10/11 and Solaris/Linux experience preferred • Oracle DBA and Shell scripting experience helpful • Experience working in a UNIX environment is preferred James Kumar- Director Recruiting Sonoma Consulting, Inc.
