I am the Director of Talent Acquisition at Sonoma Consulting and I am
currently working on filling an exciting new contract opportunity for
a *Business
Intelligence Business Analyst / Designer* position that will be based out
in *Hopkins, MN*.



*Job Title: Business Intelligence Business Analyst / Designer*

*Location: Hopkins, MN*

*Duration: 6-12 Months*



Must have EXCELLENT Com skills.  Also.. must have experience as a Business
Analyst in terms of collecting requirements from the end users and
documenting them to create design specifications to pass along to the
development team to build the reports.



·         Client is looking to fill a BI Reporting Solution Designer role
to work on several Business Intelligence Projects (Business Objects, WEBI).

·         The manager is looking for individuals that have strong BA
skills, and with a strong preference of having had worked with BI (BOBJ)
tools.

·         The Business Intelligence Designer is responsible for the
analysis and design of business intelligence solutions.

·         The BI Designer is responsible for both gathering and validating
business requirements and translating business requirements into cohesive,
integrated designs and development specifications.

·         The Business Intelligence Designer is also responsible for
writing and the execution of test scenarios and scripts.

·         This position also considers integration of designs within and
across the overall information solution catalog.

·         This position will communicate within and across the BI designer
team, BI development teams, and business implementation to meet design
requirements.

·         Lastly, all designers are responsible for delivering quality
designs that meet both business and functional requirements.



*Principal Accountabilities:*



*40% Requirements Gathering & Analysis:*

·         Identify, compile, and document business requirements through
Interviews with relevant stakeholders, requirements workshops, and existing
documentation

·         Analyze business requirements to assess fit/gap with technology
enablement, needs vs. wants, and legal or statutory requirements.



*40% Solution Design:*

•        Partner with development teams to translate the project
requirements into a functional design.

•        Create design mock-ups

•        Document logic for formulas and calculations

•        Validate technical mappings

•        Review design recommendations with peer or solution architects

•        Communicate designs within the designer team and with other
stakeholders



*10% Testing:*

•        Develop test scripts to ensure requirement is met

•        Execute or coordinate the testing of cases and scripts

•        Assist with product, user acceptance, business simulation, and/or
regression testing, as required



*10% Training Content Development:*

•        Develop content for training materials based on designs

•        Review training materials

•        Deliver/support training of Super Users and BU users as needed

•        Support “go live/hypercare” activities, including remedial
training (if necessary), solution break/fix tasks and miscellaneous
trouble-shooting
