- *Top level technical expert in one or more highly specialized areas of
applications systems analysis and programming. Formulates and defines
system scope and objectives for complex projects.*
- *Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written.*
- *Responsible for:*
- *program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation*
- *directing and monitoring the work of team members*
- *Has full technical knowledge of all phases of applications systems
analysis and programming.*
- *Provides :*
- *technical leadership on complex projects.*
- *training to junior staff.*
- *Responsible for.*
- *The level of work required is considered advanced and staff
must be able to work under minimal supervision. This job does
not have any
direct reports.*
- *Principal Duties and Responsibilities*
- *Develops high quality code that has minimal interruption to the
production environment and meets project deadlines*
- *Creates, documents, and communicates on solution designs with
the team and architect and seeks feedback as work is completed*
- *Communicates:*
- * regularly on the progress of work products and deliverables
to management and other members of the team*
- * and documents the benefits of using specific open source
frameworks*
- *Leads or participates in:*
- * the introduction and implementation of new technologies
and frameworks*
- *peer review sessions Sets and documents technology
standards and best practices and ensures the solutions
adhere to these
standards*
- *Conducts analysis of application and database
performance,*
- *Reviews log files, troubleshoots, and monitors
applications in partnership with the application support team*
Assists with implementing reliable automated test cases in order to ensure
application quality and stability in partnership with Quality Engineers
Serves as the backup to other members on the team as business needs change
including that of an architect, quality assurance professional, or product
analyst Follows processes and guidelines for risk management, security
policies, and change management.
