Role:Java Developer Location: Irvine, CA Duration: 6-12 months Interview:Phone then face to face I need someone for this role. They must be LOCAL to Irvine, CA. (I will not work with someone who can relocate. They must currently be local). Java Software Engineer with hands-on AWS implementation experience to join their team and assist in the development of solutions for their newly-minted, cloud-based platform for external-facing web applications. In this role, you will bring to bear your hands-on experience with Java, AWS, NoSQL, and Spring Framework to build components from scratch and implement them into production. You will participate in daily scrums as part of 2-3 week sprints, working with geographically-dispersed stakeholders to develop new application components. The project will go through end of the year and likely into Q1/Q2 2017. The ideal candidate will be local to Orange County and be available to meet with the team in-person prior to an offer. The incumbent will work on-site at our client’s Irvine facilities. Required Skills: * Minimum 5-7 Java development experience, including Core Java, and Spring Framework. * 2+ years of experience with AWS SDK, Amazon S3, and AWS Toolkit; experience with Redshift is a plus. * Minimum 1-2 years of experience of NoSQL database experience (DynamoDB, MongoDB) * Hands-on experience developing & deploying production systems on a NoSQL platform. * Strong working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies, with strong communication & interpersonal skills to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. * Experience with platform migration projects (.NET to Java) is a plus. * B.S. in Computer Science or related field.
