I don't have all those Chinese fonts and subfonts you are working
with.  If you suspect problems with the virtual fonts, just create an
input file which displays the whole GBK character set in a regular
manner (say, in a table) -- such a file can be created automatically
by a script.  Irregularities (this is, missing characters) should be
easily catched then by visual inspection.  In case you can identify
the *exact* problem I can further analyze the issue.
