That's a version from the dinosaur age, man (13 December 1998 to be precise). Werner just released version 4.7.0 which has undergone a complete metamorphosis when compared to 4.2.0. Get the latest stable (4.7.0) or snapshot release from http://cjk.ffii.org/ and I'm sure that your files will work with beamer. If you have Debian GNU/Linux, then you can just install latex-cjk-all.
