Wen-Chang,
similar to the CJK package, I can't use the files
{bg5,bg5p,gbk}toutf8.tex with XeTeX because `\', `{', and `}' are
possible values for the second byte. The only solution would be to
use conversion programs like bg5conv and to add scripts bg5xelatex,
etc.
Do you think this is worth the trouble?
