hello,
i'm currently writing my thesis, using tetex-3, emacs and gfsneohellenic fonts
for fully accented classical greek (all under gentoo linux). i've used
cjk-latex a few years ago (with the kind help of danai sae-han), and back
then it was not possible to simultaneously have utf-8 encoded greek (via
intlfonts and greek-ibycus-4 input method) and chinese (too, with
chinese-py-punct-b5 input method), because you had to run M-x cjk-write-file
in emacs and then latex the resulting *.cjk file (and then dvi2pdfm the dvi,
kind of a long procedure...).
since i am absolutely dependent on my greek setup as is, i am looking for a
solution to simultaneously use cjk and just pdflatex, and the past digest of
this list somewhat looked like this became possible in the meantime (my
running cjk-latex implementation vanished when my laptop got stolen).
i have installed arphicfonts and put the tfm files of bsmi
in /usr/share/texmf/fonts/tfm/arphic/bsmi00lp, truetype resides
here /usr/share/texmf/fonts/truetype/arphic/bsmi00lp/bsmi00lp.ttf. i've
put Map ttfonts.map in updmap.cfg, run mktexlsr, updmap and updmap-sys.
my preamble looks like this:
