I finally solved with the help of Werner and some known suggestions
the problem. Here is a report on this (I am on MacOSX 12.5).
1. It seems, that in my installation I had previously the wrong map-
files generated. Since I was not able to recover, I installed the
complete TeXlive2008 again after removing all subdirectories
and .texlive2008 directories (i.e., rm -r /usr/local/texlive).
2. After the installation of TeXlive2008 I proceed as suggested in
http://lists.ffii.org/pipermail/cjk/2006-January/001346.html
(thanks to Danai SAE-HAN (韓達耐). The files I stored under
~/Library/texmf/fonts/...
as suggested (since the tree-structure is a little different then on a
Linux-system)
3. Then I had to store the fd-file for cyberbit (or any other ttf-
font) in the same subdirectory as c70song.fd (storing it under another
part of the TeX-tree had no success)
4. After texhash everything worked fine (for CJKutf8.tex, UTF8.tex etc.)
