Carol I consider I learn something new every day! What I cannot understand
is the particular reference many times to horses and Cavaliers in
particular.
I can certainly equate with about learning about other breeds - and I agree
you learn more about your own breed at the same time. I spend time at shows
watching not only Cavaliers but all breeds being shown and certainly at the
moment I am brushing up on my knowledge of the breed standards of all the
toy group
I still maintain that whilst knowing construction and movement of a horse
whilst of value, does not necessarily teach you the same for a dog - how for
instance how can the construction and movement of a peke, a bulldog, a
smooth terrier, a Dalmatian (the original carriage dog) for example be
compared to a horse or for that matter a Cavalier or to each other. All are
constructed differently and in consequence move differently

Just my opinion of course VBG
