        The point was only that $2500. was, in my opinion, a very high stud
fee.  I could put a down payment on a house for that money.  My
cavaliers would love a new house.

You seemed to discriminate between producers of champions and other
studs, so I mentioned that the dog was a champion by way of stating that
perhaps that was the *owner's* rationale for this fee.  To me, it is
still over the budget, and kept me from using the dog.
