Hi Susan, Here is what the AKC Cavalier standard says regarding forequarters and hindquarters: FOREQUARTERS Shoulders well laid back. Forelegs straight and well under the dog with elbows close to the sides. Pasterns strong and feet compact with well-cushioned pads. Dewclaws may be removed. HINDQUARTERS The hindquarters construction should come down from a good broad pelvis, moderately muscled; stifles well turned and hocks well let down. The hindlegs when viewed from the rear should parallel each other from hock to heel. Faults - cow or sickle hocks. The complete AKC standard can be found on our club web site at: http://www.ackcsc.org/standard.html Take care, Jackie (ACKCSC Web Site Coordinator) ========================================================= "Magic Commands": to stop receiving mail for awhile, click here and send the email: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=SET%20CKCS-L%20NOMAIL to start it up gain click here: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=SET%20CKCS-L%20MAIL E-mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] for assistance.
