Hi Pat,

I'm talking off the top of my head, but I think as long as you supply
the registration information and have the buyer agree to the
conditions, AKC will allow you to withhold the transfer of the papers
until the conditions are met. I give the buyers a copy of the puppy's
registration papers and them sign an agreement as to the conditions
for final transfer. I also hold the check for a week in case there is
any change of mind.

Take care, Jackie
