Thanks for all the input on picky eaters!
My picky eater, of course, ate her supper (or most of it) out of her
bowl with no fuss tonight. I did praise her exuberently when she was
finished and gave her a cookie, she looked a little puzzled but ate the
cookie anyway.
She does have a needy kind of disposition. Recently I sold her litter
brother, with whom she'd been raised, and that seems to have made her
unsure as well, he was the ringleader.
So, more individual time and attention, (and turkey hotdogs) I think
will help her a lot.
She already eats in a wire crate in the kitchen, so the others all
finish and gather around her, she's impressed with her importance but it
doesn't encourage her to eat. :o(. She just stares back at them.
No, she's not gaunt and not even very thin. Her father was hard to put
weight on, I'm told, also tended to run it off.
