I would wake my vet out of bed and attempt to save
the pup. Yet I have a soft heart and brain. I once
had a pup develop acquired hydrocephaly by
mismanagement of a vet. Anyway, I traveled 3000
miles to have a shunt surgically installed. The
shunt clogged in a few months, as they inevitably do.
I had to have her euthanize then. Most people would
probably have euthanized that pup much earlier.
People have to make decisions. They often do the best
they can.

In terms of the story with the euthanized pup, I
applaud that topic being brought up on the list. My
view is that the people were wrong to put the pup in
the freezer. I think it was an immoral act. I also
think people should have the courage of their
convictions. Putting it on the list was the proper
thing to do. However, I think at some point in
time, the topic needs to cease. I also think we
should stick to the issue and try not to personalize
these topics. None of us know what really happened.
All we can judge is what we are presented. I think we
should best treat all future stories as hypotheticals.
