I've always had a dog growing up, but 12 years ago my life changed after I
had my first Cavalier. Of course in that same year I had to have another
one and the shows began. Years later at a show in Niagara Falls, I met
Charlene. She was competing against me in Open Bitches and I only needed a
single point to finish my bitch. Well - the judge was a well known crooked
old man who loved buxom women and so Charlene hired a very well endowed
blonde professional handler to show her bitch. The judge smiled at her all
the way around the ring. Needless to say I was FURIOUS that someone had
beaten me by playing better politics than I did! he-he A few years later we
were married and soon after I moved away from being partners at Rattlebridge
to join my Cavaliers and my newlywed wife's to continue her "Woftam"
breeding program.

Char's old boy died last year 3 months shy of 17 and it was really through
his last year that we decided we wanted to change the focus of our breeding
program and focus first on health, second on temperament, third on soundness
and lastly on winning ribbons. Of course we believe in the famous tripod
analogy of successful breeding where one must balance health, soundness, and
temperament.

I've been through it all with showing week in and week out, being what some
called a professional breeder/owner/handler and playing the politics that
are involved with the big ranked dogs. I've bred, owned, and/or co-owned
nearly 50 Championship titles on Cavaliers in the past, have had many group
placements and got an all breed BIS on a Cavalier as a
breeder/owner/handler. But I have to say that the past two years have been
the best years I've ever had in dogs. Just loving them, having them as my
pets first, and showing when we want to and can travel have been so
rewarding. I love the dogs we've bred and the ones we've had the fortune of
obtaining from Sheila Smith (Salador) and Annette Jones (Timsar), and of
course the light of my life (my wife already knows!) - my Charlie bitch from
Elaine & Alan Shail.

Currently I am on the Board of Directors of the ACKCSC and serve as the
Newsletter Editor. Charlene also enjoys showing on occasion at the
CKCSC/USA shows.

Sorry, but our web pages are many years old and in serious need of updating,
so I won't refer you to them but I will let you know when we re-do them.
