Hello All, The only eye defect caused by a nutritional shortage was in puppy
milk replacer 15 years or nore ago. It caused dietary cataracts which were
easiy identified as such. The food was short of arganine. The cataracts
were not reversible.
Cat food was deficient in tourine up untill a few years ago. I had a cat die
of cardio myopathy due to tourine deficiency. It was very sad and happened
1989.
The autopsy on my male said he had hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Very rare in
dogs. It was primary cause of death with MV insuficiency and LV outflow
obstruction as possible secondary causes.
Does anyone have anything to say regarding MSU (Michigan In Lansing) and a
Dr. Eyster. He is a cardio specialist. I was planning on having all my dogs
done there this time..
