A year or two? If I had to wait that long for a Cavalier puppy I probably
would have found another breed, or gotten another boxer. I've been in boxers
for 20 years and when I lost my home-bred 7 year old Ch to cancer I and my
10 year old Ch bitch were devastated. Several weeks later I started looking
for a Cavalier as I had wanted one for years. I found the perfect puppy (in
my eyes) in the first litter I looked at. He's now 14 months old and has
gone a long way to filling the hole in my heart left by Archie's death. He's
a very nice representative of the breed with super temperament and I very
happy with him. IMHO asking someone to wait 1-2 years, especially for a pet,
is just telling them to go to pet shops or internet sellers who are breeding
for the pet market. Or to buy another breed that is more readily available.
