Laura,
I have tried natural balance roll and it really made baker's tummy very
upset. Even if i only gave him a little bit. He did fine on the kibble
though.

We are now trying Primal and he still eats some canidae kibble, but he for
sure likes the Primal better! :)

My honest feeling is that it is the *cooking* that ruins food. I have been
researching this thoroughly over the last 6 months--buying many books on the
subject. I am also trying to get ahold of the cassette Wysong has put out
regarding *Why Does Disease Occur?*. The 60 minute audio cassette (or CD)
by R. L. Wysong, which encapsulates over twenty years of careful research on
the subject of disease and that he has found the feeding of heat processed
foods is the most important underlying cause of disease, is available free
to *professionals*--whatever that means.

If you must feed cooked, I would just feed a premium kibble that uses
premium quality ingredients--especially if they are organic. Anything that
has been cooked to over 102 degrees has lost all it's digestive enzymes and
some of it's nutrients--so in the end the only difference between home
cooked and kibble is the quality of ingredients. Buy a kibble with premium
quality ingredients and you will be in the same place except for meeting the
individual needs of each dog. In that case you may need several different
kibbles, plus you will need to change them from time to time because no one
food is complete for every dog--so variety is still needed.

Has anyone tried Natural Balance yet? Have read about it and found it
interesting--possibly something like Red Barn, but I haven't seen it nor do
I know anyone who has tried it. Not what I prefer, but a good *in the
middle* type food. Possibly more acceptable to the pet owners at this point
in time as well.
