Alida, Great post, and I totally agree about the pet owners. Most have specifically told me they are not interested in the issue or in voting and some have told me they are already being *educated* by this or that CKCSC member! What some don't realize though is that the small group that is against the AKC issue will be out there lobbying big time for the proxies of those pet members who don't wish to vote. They will ask those pet members to turn their proxies over to them so they can vote with them as they wish. If the pet members who didn't want to vote, were left alone--we would have an excellent chance of this passing. However, those few anti-AKC CKCSC members will make sure they get as many proxies of the uninterested members as possible and will attempt to push as many of the others to vote against it as possible. They are likely hard at work on it already.
