My dogs would love a tender morsel like blue jay on ocassion and have, for
sure, indulged in something more tasty in the past. In our area with West
Nile Virus running amuck - I would be concerned about it being transmitted
to my dogs. I have wondered if it is even transmitted to dogs. We have
had 3 or four human deaths in CT from West Nile Virus. Lots of affected,
dead birds though. We have become used to calling the animal control
people when we see dead crows or any dead birds. They come and take them
away to test. We never hear the results.

Does anyone know if this is something that can be passed on from bird,
mainly crows to dogs?
