I would suggest that he is put on a very bland elimination diet of boiled rice and chicken with some yoghurt. If all goes well then slowly add in other foods one at a time, but slowly. If he has a reaction with loose stools then there is cause to believe there may be a food allergy. We have a wonderful homeopathic remedy here called koromiko which is fabulous for diarrhoea it will stop it within hours if it is just a slightly upset tummy due to stress or change of water. However as a koromiko is a native New Zealand tree it may not be available anywhere else. Another excellent more natural remedy which has proven antibiotic properties is active Manuka honey, is you can find this a tsp of this 2-3 times a day may also be helpful.
