I believe the substance used is liquid nitrogen. Although, I do believe
liquid nitrogen could do some real harm it it was spilled or a finger etc.
was dipped into it --- it's nothing you want to mess around with at home. My
dermatologist zapped a couple spots of keritosis on the back of my hand with
it using the liquid nitrogen on a Q-tip dipped from a paper cup. It was a
fait accompli before I was even aware he'd done anything. As I recall it was
painless when it was done and not all that bothersome afterword. BTW, I am
NOT condoning the use of cryogentics to cosmetically alter dogs.
