I have yet to see this problem in our instance of Clamd running w/ tcpserver & spamassassin. Our current machine has been operating for a little over 3 months uptime w/ 1 GB ram and 65,000 msg's / day.
Perhaps this is a low or little ram issue. Just some food for thought! Jeffrey P. My clamd suddenly consumed all my free memory (about 200mb, when normally it peaks around 13mb). I upgraded to 0.73, and i'm in the same situation. I'm using FC1. I couldn't figure what's triggering this effect from the log, these are some lines from it: Wed Jun 23 13:44:19 2004 -> /usr/local/inflex/tmp/inf_062313442706/mailpack: Worm.Bagle.Gen-vbs FOUND Wed Jun 23 13:47:45 2004 -> /usr/local/inflex/tmp/inf_062313473141/mailpack: Worm.SomeFool.Z FOUND Wed Jun 23 13:50:23 2004 -> Socket file removed.
